Company Update

Hey everyone, it’s been a while, almost 2 years 3 years! We’ve done a lot in Rust, we launched the 2x, shut down the 2x, updated the 1000x, and a lot more our Rust audience knows from the Discord. Seems small? It is! Please take a look below to see where the majority of our time has been spent.

Minecraft Network Update 1.3 “New Horizons”

Update 1.3 saw a complete realization in our interpretation of what the BloomNetwork Minecraft network should be; with the list of changes being so vast, it’s easier to play and see for yourself. The same principle of a non-pay-to-win network guides our new vision, but we’ve rethought what should be featured on the network.

Most of the changes to the network are under the hood, such as our new containerization of network minigames/gamemodes or a completely new minigame architecture built in-house that allows us to tweak any part of the user’s experience with ease. That doesn’t mean major visible changes aren’t coming though, a few teasers of what’s to come are below.

Have questions? Please look below:

Why is this article so small? Much of our team is busy with school and working on debugging the core elements needed for this upcoming testing phase.

When will this be playable? We’re testing different parts of the network one piece at a time as soon as this article is live, starting with Hunger Games and ending with Prison. Although the experience is still essentially a beta, you’re free to take a look.

Why so many changes? The old 1.0 release of the network was incomplete and made at a time when our knowledge specifically was lacking. Many foundational elements of the network were weak and had to be remade from the ground up to compete with larger networks. Any update or maintenance wasn’t easy, and many minigames were inferior to larger networks. We decided to cut some of these minigames and reduce our selection to a couple of handcrafted, high-quality minigames/gamemodes.
