Company Update

Hey everyone, it’s been a while, almost 2 years 3 years! We’ve done a lot in Rust, we launched the 2x, shut down the 2x, updated the 1000x, and a lot more our Rust audience knows from the Discord. Seems small? It is! Please take a look below to see where the majority of our time has been spent.

Minecraft Network Update 1.3 “New Horizons”

Update 1.3 saw a complete realization in our interpretation of what the BloomNetwork Minecraft network should be; with the list of changes being so vast, it’s easier to play and see for yourself. The same principle of a non-pay-to-win network guides our new vision, but we’ve rethought what should be featured on the network.

Most of the changes to the network are under the hood, such as our new containerization of network minigames/gamemodes or a completely new minigame architecture built in-house that allows us to tweak any part of the user’s experience with ease. That doesn’t mean major visible changes aren’t coming though, a few teasers of what’s to come are below.

Have questions? Please look below:

Why is this article so small? Much of our team is busy with school and working on debugging the core elements needed for this upcoming testing phase.

When will this be playable? We’re testing different parts of the network one piece at a time as soon as this article is live, starting with Hunger Games and ending with Prison. Although the experience is still essentially a beta, you’re free to take a look.

Why so many changes? The old 1.0 release of the network was incomplete and made at a time when our knowledge specifically was lacking. Many foundational elements of the network were weak and had to be remade from the ground up to compete with larger networks. Any update or maintenance wasn’t easy, and many minigames were inferior to larger networks. We decided to cut some of these minigames and reduce our selection to a couple of handcrafted, high-quality minigames/gamemodes.

My question isn’t answered! Feel free to join our discord at https://bn.gg/discord and ask us directly.

Rust Feature Overview - Wipe Previews

Last week, we released our 2x Rust server with a new feature added to the 1000x and recently released 2x. The feature in question is the new Wipe Previews system. All users who possess the Diamond rank subscription on the 1000x or Gold rank subscription on the 2x will gain access to this special feature. If your discord handle is provided upon purchasing these ranks, you will unlock access to a new channel known as #🧭wipe-previews🧭 within the BloomNetwork Discord server. A preview of what this feature looks like can be seen below. Wipe previews are given the wipe before the seed is used next wipe and are provided each wipe.

BloomNetwork MC Update 1.0

Today marks the release of the BloomNetwork Minecraft server! Over the course of the past year, we’ve been able to better the user experience and release new minigames such as Survival and Duels, although we’ve removed Kingdoms and Earth during development. We’ve added countless cosmetics earnable in-game, along with continuing our original initiative to have no pay-to-win aspects. Bedrock support is implemented and fully working with all parts of the network. During the last year, we were able to make an instancing system to expand our network dynamically and without restarts. Join the BloomNetwork Minecraft server on Java edition all versions 1.8+ at play.bloomnetwork.net; join on bedrock with the IP pe.bnforum.net, port 19132. We hope you enjoy the release of the BloomNetwork Minecraft server!

Jan. MC Server Progress Update

This month we made a lot of progress on the server. We reintroduced Hunger Games and finished the entire minigame. New plans for SkyBlock have been made to have an entirely different currency and market, and we did some quality of life things. This month we began doing testing of Bedrock support. More issues have been found within the bedrock support, so we are going to fix as many as we can before the estimated release date of May-July. Updates to our anti-cheat and donator perks are being made to make our server more reliable on all ends. Development on kingdoms and BedWars continues to make it the best quality upon release.

Dec. MC Server Progress Update

The BloomNetwork Minecraft Server was unfortunately delayed as we expanded upon the hardware of our servers and are hard at work for all internal systems to work. Build Battle was canceled, and we have made changes to the Survival Passive. We are now introducing Earth. Earth is a replacement for survival passive adopting the same principles with claiming it's a 1:1000 map of Earth. This map can be viewed at http://map.bloomnetwork.net:8123/, the server is officially playable with only BedWars, Kingdoms, and Market not being complete. Of course, wipes are expected as the server is in an Alpha state, but it is more playable than ever. Work on our multiple server system is almost complete, every game except kingdoms and Earth will have numerous servers behind it in case of downtime on one server, this will make updates streamless and ensure that users will not be cut off from playing during an upgrade. Bedrock support is complete for the phone but is still being worked on for consoles as the add server function is not available. One of the main reasons for this delay is 1.15, 1.15 is going to take a bit of time as we are still narrowing down the issues for players on this version. Meteorites are now a part of Kingdoms, along with the arrival of vehicles, planes, cars, boats, and various other forms of transportation. The Market is getting a full-on alchemist floor for one of the many buildings, with this announcement the Market will be better than ever with placeable schematics being for sale. At launch, not many schematics will be for sale, but more is predicted for the future. The market system has been overhauled with new ways to purchase items. Quick GUI shop systems are also available at some of the stands outside the spawn in the Market. SkyBlock will have no market as the economy can be affected by this. We are thinking of an alternative currency for SkyBlock that can be converted to server-wide dollars. Some of the currently in-development features include generators, GPS, Elevators, Voting system, Lucky Blocks, and a 2FA system for users who want to secure their accounts. Random spawning chests, buyable minions, and a Noteblock soundtrack is some of the things we are working on at the time of this post.
